Best brush for lab to reduce shedding?

I have a rottweiler/ chocolate lab mix. She looks more like a lab than anything. Her hair is short but soft. As it has started to get hotter where is live, she has started shedding more and more. We love her but we don't love having her hair everywhere around the house. We have a "slicker" brush and a "bristle" brush but they only take the hair off the top of her coat. I was wondering if we should get a "rubber" brush? What kind of brush works best? Thanks in advance :)
