Black Hat with Blue Clothes?

I'm going to a party and I wanted to wear a hat. I don't wear jeans because I do not look good in them so what I wanted to wear was a blue and whte striped v neck . Cargo shorts and blue and white van boat shoes. I also wanted to wear a black and white new York hat by I don't know if it would look good . I was thinking of buying a blue and white LA hat but I'm my much of the fashion guy. What do you think should I get the LA hat or just go with the new York one ?
