Im only 16 but I'm starting to think about my future and career seriously. I really want to be a phycologist, I love to help people and figure people out. I love the mystery behind human thoughts and emotion. But, now that I'm looking more into it I don't know if I want to be a phycologist or a psychiatrist? Please tell me the difference between them, I know a psychiatrist can prescribe medicine but what are some other contrasts? I would also like to know how much each salary is yearly. Backing a horse past a spook?

My horse sometimes has issues leading on a trail ride, and sometimes he will just stop, out of nowhere. I've never really had problems with him not walking past a spook, but i do back him when he gets stubborn and wont walk forward. That is what i have always been told to do, because it gets their mind off of whatever it is that's bothering them. And i believe it is a good strategy that works. It is certainly better than letting the horse get his/her own way!

Why does god throw all these challenges on my family?

I'm 18 and I live in Brooklyn in a harsh neighborhood. First I'll begin with my beliefs. When I was younger, I didn't believe in god even though I was baptized and christian born. Lately I've been feeling more spiritual with myself and even though I didn't believe in god, I still read about Christianities history and laws (due to my huge interest in history). Now, I don't fully believe in god (although I do believe in a single 'energy' up there) but I still follow many of his laws and try to keep my sins to a minimum (even small things such as not littering). I was always a kind kid always wanting to help people and just have friends and find love. However, because of the harshness of my area I was led to drug abuse and scams (although they weren't as extreme level as most of my surrounding people). I;ve been praying for my safety and my moms safety. In return, I had my car vandalized for $10,000 of damages (because of one of my friends actions), last week again all my tires were slashed (again because of something other people did) and I can't do much about it, even though I never meant the people that did this to me any harm or scams. On top of that, a year before, my dad had an affair with my mom and left us, took almost everything we had from us, and left us in bankruptcy. Its just me and my mom living in a rented apartment with low on money and my mom is trying extremely hard to find a job. She's been having health problems because of the seperation and her emotions are getting worse rapidly because she's losing hope of finding a job and our cash reserves are running very low and I pray for the best, mostly for my mom even before myself. In my junior high school and high school years, I never had friends and instead everybody would always make fun of me because I couldn't properly adapt, instead of partying I would stay home and read about politics, military, history, and music because those were my interests but everybody around me thought otherwise. I never had a girlfriend because I never was the type of guy to have sex with a girl and leave them or play around with their emotions because love around here is just a game, and all the girls that I liked have rejected me always. As for my drug abuse, I do them significantly less as before and been trying to just get away from everyone I know for a while now, because theres no trust here at all between people that I've even known for years, which led to my car being vandalized more then twice and other instances which cause a high alert for me and my mom, which naturally makes my street experience rise. Me and my mom go to church every now and then and I still like to talk with god and ask him for help, but everything just seems to get worse, that I only have enemies around and no real friends, not me nor my mom. I don't think I've ever sinned so much to deserve all this and I ask for forgiveness for anything bad that I've done. I heard that karma usually hits hard for something my family has done before, but this is too much, will god ever help us? I just have no clue where else to turn too.

Okay there was this pc game I played a long time ago. I think its some kind of MMORPG and it was made before 2007. All I could remember was that the graphics were pretty good and you had some kind of gravity gun. You also had a option were you could have zombies or something attack you. When you think about it, almost any article of clothing can be termed "hunting" clothing. Clothing is designed to protect the body from the environment. If it is hot, light weight clothing is called for. If cold, then wear warm clothing. If you're going through heavy brush that will scrape the skin you need tough clothing and if you will encounter rain/snow you need water proof clothing. I've done a lot of summer shooting in the California deserts and worn short pants for it. Get my legs scratched a lot and have to be careful if I want to kneel but mostly I've found it comfortable. I've been hunting in Alaska in the fall and encountered cold weather and worn ski clothing for that. So you can call any type of clothing "hunting" clothing if you wear it when hunting. I do look for plenty of pockets in both pants and shirts and jackets. So figure out what would be comfortable and tough enough for your hunt. That's what you want.

What's the difference between a cargo van and a passenger van?

I can't stand being around my little sister, ever. What should I do?

It seems like you are in a very tough situation, and I'm really sorry about that. But, I am a little sister of my oldest brother, who also suffered from clinical depression. Actually, there was one point in my life where I was going almost the EXACT same situation, only I was the annoying little sister. I was so upset to come home from school, knowing that I had to completely change my behavior and turn into this little brat because my brother just seemed to treat me like ****. My mother began to realize what was going on (she is a psychiatric nurse), and she said that it is frequent for the older sibling to take out their anger on their younger sibling in a form of confusion, or wanting to feel that someone will love you no matter how you act. And I, too was being a little bratty girl, just because I was unhappy, and because there was no ro-model to show me how I SHOULD act, with a torn relationship with my brother. My brother took depression medication, and I got busy with schoolwork and after school clubs, and soon we argued less, and now we fight every so often, but the arguments never last, and we learn to enjoy each other's company more frequently.

Should we buy a Mazda CX-9?

We are a family with three little ones three and under. We just sold our 2007 Ford Fusion SE and are looking to buy a bigger vehicle. I want a Buick Enclave but its out of our price range. We are looking at minivans. I know a mini-van has a lot more space at a lower price, but I really dont want to drive a minivan! (Vain--I know!!) I have found several Mazda CX-9's priced in our range but my hubby is concerned that there is not enough cargo space. I feel like in the short term it will be tight, but doable and fine in the long term when our kids are bigger. I won't criticize or ask you why you do this everyday. Having a non-sensitive gag reflex is normal, there's not really anything you can do to make it more sensitive it's just the way you were made. You're writing is good, as is your grammar and spelling, I just feel it is slightly pretentious. Like you are trying a little too hard for it to sound poetic. I typically don't like long winded sentences that take forever to get to the end of and give me more information than I actually need. Cherry shrimp compatibility?

i personally would not do it ... cherry shrimp are giant wimps and very small ... all they would do is hide and get eaten ... you could try some amano shrimp ... they are larger and tougher and not so afraid of the fish ... they are not as pretty but more durable ... and they do not breed in freshwater but occasionally a female will let out a hormone and all of a sudden the shrimp are swimming crazy all over the tank ... seems to confuse the fish in my tank :O)

So, I met this guy in a psych class last semester, and he asked for my cell # so we could study together. I started hanging out with him more, and he's been doing some weird stuff. How do i clean a brush used for lacquer?

You need to use paint thinner on it. Get a jar with thinner in it and when you are done with the brush hang it into the thinner. Like hanging the brush from a string, and letting the bristles submerge in the thinner a little while. You shouldn't get the handel wet with the thinner. After about an hour, take it out and start wiping the remaining varnish off of the bristles using an old rag you can throw away. Clean it real good, down to the nub or butt of the bristles. When finished, You don't need to throw away the thinner. Just let it settle and strain it into another jar for later use. You'll be happy you spent the money and got a good brush and you will be able to tell the difference after you have used it a couple of times.

How to get rid of cutting scars for the summer?

I used to be a bad cutter and I would rub the bristles of a comb back and forth on my skin and the scars are deep on my legs. A few I did with a blade and they surprisingly aren't as deep as the others. I hate them so much especially when I have to wear a dress, I feel like I have to hide my legs all the time. This is a difficult question to answer, since everyone has different tastes. I wouldn't recommend an angelfish to everyone, because these are highly territorial. To safely have an angelfish, the aquarium must have a large surface (in my opinion, horizontal rectangle aquariums are the best), and considering that the angelfish will pick a spot and guard it, you can;t have an aquarium in which the angelfish could pick out a spot that other fish must cross to get to other parts of the aquarium. Tiger barbs are violent fish, especially in schools. Also, they are very quick, so you can't combine them with slow fish. You shouldn't have a problem with the bloodfin tetras or the shark, but i have never combined tiger barbs with Gouramis, so i can't really tell you if there will be conflict between them. As a personal recommendation, I would add an iridescent shark to go with that rainbow, since they will look beautiful together when they both grow to full size. Also, if you're looking for variety, you could consider snails or maybe one of those little water frogs.

Hair goes crunch when air drying?

This only started happening recently. I dyed my hair a few months ago and my hair was fine. But lately when my hair is wet it feels like straw just at the roots. But when I blow dry it feels fine? What is worrying me most is when I air dry it, it feels crunchy? But it's strange, when I put my bristle brush through it the crunchiness dissapears. I don't use products when air drying my hair. I'm going to dye my hair again tonight (i have to, or not face the public) is it safe to do this? What's causing the crunchiness? Should I do anything to my hair before dying it tonight?

My boyfriend gets angry all the time - PLEASE HELP?

I really need some advice. My boyfriend always seems to get angry and usually over small or weird things, and I don't know what to do. Like today, for example, we went grocery shopping. And after this stuff happens he always sighs and stuff all sadly. Nothing I've done works. It has some hairs and some lint/dandruff type stuff at the bottom. I tried putting them in boiling water, but it still has all the stuff near the end of the bristles. Should I add bleach or some sort of cleaner? Or should I take an old toothbrush and scrub it?

10 days late and negative test but am I pregnant?

So there is always the possibility that your period is just late. Me and my hubby were TTC for months. There were so many times where my period was 1-2 weeks late and I had that negative pregnancy test. Those test are 99.9% accurate. Usually when I got the negative I just waited for my period and it would come. There still is the slight chance that maybe you tested too early. Take another if you want to be sure! I used the makeupgeektv on you tube method. Your rubbed the brush in olive oil on a paper towel and it removed all the extra makeup. Then you were supposed to put baby shampoo in a sponge and rub the brush into the sponge. Then you rinsed with lukewarm water. I did this except i used handsoap because i didnt have baby shampoo. My male Bristlenose Pleco doesn't seem happy? His side hooks are always out?

Plecos get territorial around other plecos, they hate each other, and have been known to kill each other. 16 gallons is too small for one pleco, 2 plecos in a tank that size would be very stressed. I don't know If the pleco would do better in the 55 gallon tank, it is very poorly stocked. This might be a situation were re-homing the fish to a friend, to someone on craigslist, or to a Pet store would be the most humane thing to do.

New Fish Adding Question?

ok so I just got a big new tank from my mates nan and in there are 2 fire belly newts, and about 11 tetras (neons and black neons) a few guppys and 2 kuhli loaches (I know not enough loaches but I plan to get at least 3 more now cus I got the bigger tank). so now knowing what fish I have in there do you think I could add a 2-3cm bristle nose pleco without any problems. the tank has a very good filter and suitable hiding places. so what do you think, can I or should I add the pleco and what are some other small fish like the tetras that I could add that would be safe with all of the fish listed.thanks :)

DS: Have your dogs done anything to make you proud recently?

I have a dog with really bad fear aggression with people and I was out in the garden with him the other day. And he spotted someone beyond the fence and went mental barking. It's impossible to calm him down when he starts barking so I struggled for around 10 minutes to calm him down. Then, my other dog, who's a border collie, just simply ran over to him, nipped him and sort of herded him back into the garden and he stopped and calmed down. I was very grateful to him that day haha.

for the past month I've been feeling really off, my emotions are a roller coaster, one minute I'm happy and the next I'm angry and one second later I'm crying! Sometimes i get so overwhelmed by certain emotions that i go into this weird freak out session and i don't know what it is. its only happened a couple of times, the first time was after i found out i had to do a ten minute presentation. i went home and i had started shaking and crying, and then my heart started beating really fast and i felt like i couldn't breathe. i didn't know what to do and i couldn't put anything into perspective i just felt like there was no hope and i was very scared. i just end up siting on the ground freaking out untill i feel better, which is usually like 10ish minutes later. then sometimes i get so angry that i lose control like that and i feel like there's just no hope at all, and i end up doing the same thing with the same symptioms i explained above. it happened again yesterday because i was upset about something and i started shaking and crying and i felt like i couldn't breathe and my heart was beating fast, all that. it also starts to happen sometimes when i feel like i cant breathe because i have asthma and it freaks me out. so are these panic attacks or am i just really upset?

Agree, next time keep the bug and ask the vet clinic to identify it for you. The common parasites are lice and mites. Lice are gray, the nits are white but very tiny. Mites are brown but very tiny. If your dog's not on flea/tick preventive like Frontline Plus, highly recommend it :)

How do I help a shedding cat?

I recently took in a stray cat who had been on her own since about December. It's now shedding season in Western Washington and she's shedding like crazy. Is there anything I can do to help make her more comfortable or help her get rid of all that dead fur faster? Currently I am using a rubber Kong curry comb to loosen the dead hairs and then brushing them away with a wire bristle brush for short-hairs about once every hour when I'm home. She appears to be a Burmese (American-Type)/Bombay mix with an extra thick coat because she was outside on her own during the winter. I gave her a flea bath when she first got her about three weeks ago; would giving her another bath help loosen more dead fur? Any tips would be most helpful. The weather is starting to warm up here and I don't want her to be miserable the whole summer.

It sounds like the cut she has is a basic puppy cut which is probably the most common cut in just pet poodle. Mine have alway had that cut more practicely that the fancy show cuts. Poodles need a trim about every 6 weeks but you should brush daily especailly the ears if the fur is left long. A slicker brush is great for them but you need to be gentle and older poodles the coat does tend to get thinner so a bristle brush is good for the main body if keep short. Poodle ear also need regular plucking as they have hair in them you can ask you groomer to do that. They are prone to ear problems so you need to keep an eye on there ears that they are clean and don't smell .Poodles are great dogs who love to love and be loved they love to please there own. In the winter they do feel the cold so need a nice warm coat. It is great your gran has adopted this little dog and give it a second chance of love she won't regret it. They are super dogs.

What branch of the military is right for me?

I am a 15 year old female and of course thinking about my future. I plan on going to college for two years and then enlisting in the U.S military. My problem is that i do not know what branch i want to join. I want to be a pilot, I am in Civil Air Patrol and that is helping me to get closer to that goal. I know that the Air Force is the obvious branch to go into if i want to be a pilot but i don't really want to go into the AF. I always have thought about the Navy as a pilot, landing cargo planes on the tankers. Are there any other exciting jobs in any of the branches you can think of. Teeth sore after a filling when brushing?

Had 2 fillings done on the molar on the right side. Tooth where the filling was done feels sore/sensitive when brushing. When I have the bristles on the underside, there's no sore but on the outside, it's uber sensitive and hurts. Been 2 days. Is this normal? will it go away? should I go back to the dentist? Scratched up car hood using a foam brush?

I was at the DIY carwash and i used the "bubble brush", The bristles were much harder than i thought they would be and it seems i scrubbed too hard and now my hood has swirl marks and visible scratches from the brush. How would i go about removing this damage? This is a pretty large area (most of the hood) so I wasn't sure if Scratch Doctor would work since that is meant for small areas.

I was just wondering why guys think they're so much better than women? I read this one paragraph about how women are not as intelligent, strong, etc. They also think that women that object to them are "jealous" of the superior male. I have a few valid points to make. Yes, SOME men are stronger than women but women CAN be stronger then man. Sure, Man can have more intelligence if they were taught more, but then again, so can women. It depends on what schools you go to and how your brain develops. I also heard that men believe, women can not handle pain. Referring to what I believe they were talking about was *physical* pain. Women have to cope with the pain of child birth which is a very painful process. Coping with physical pain does NOT make men superior. What about *emotional* pain? Not a lot of men can deal with their emotions or "feelings". Yes, throughout history, Men have been known for the best inventions and such but just because they're good at things does not make them the superior species. If men are so much better than women, why are women on the planet? Do any men come to realize with out women their would be no race? Same for women. We ARE equals. Whether you think of it or not, men could not survive with out women and vice versa. Just because men CAN be stronger or more intelligent does not make them better. Same for women. Why do men and women have to be sexist? I can't stand it when men think women are not their equals. I have talked to a few of my guy friends who agree that women are their equals because without each other the human race would die. What about that theory of girls maturing faster then boys? I don't think that theory is true either. Maturity is on how your raised. But if theory is based on the body maturing then still no. Does anyone know the name to this emotion/feeling?

Basically, it’s this REALLY strong gut feeling. It usually happens when I’m changing, in the restroom, going out(specifically sleepovers), or doing something you wouldn’t have done at a younger age. (Otherwise it also happens randomly) The common thoughts that always come to mind is the idea of growing up. How I’m going to become a Mom and have kids. It makes me not want that. It also suddenly makes me miss the past like crazy. Usually 3rd grade. (I’m rising 10th grade) But then, it’s not just another emotion, because it’s one that I hate THE MOST. It’s such a horrible feeling to have. I can usually feel it getting to me and the first thought is to try and ignore it, but I never can. I seriously bet when I get married and have sex, it’s only going to be 2 minutes of pleasure for me. Also, it’s not guilt or regret, I know what both those feels like and it’s nothing compared to it.

Beef canned dog food,if you can get it mix with a little parrot hand feeding formula, If not I would get gerber baby oatmeal and mix with it.Make it soupy but not so much that it will run all over the bird.Feed with a syringe or a straw.Be sure and rinse off any food that gets on bird. It will make it loose feathers.You can get meal worms at a farm type store and mix with it but not a must have. As it gets close to weaning you can offer it raisins, tiny pieces of apple, and boiled egg yolk. "yolk only". Hope this helps. I don't know any links to give. The bird will need to be fed pretty often as young as it is.

How do I get rid of my frizzy hair?

Ok, I have nautrally wavy hair. When I brush it, it seems dry. In a few hours, it gets REALLY frizzy. I can't figure out why! I shampoo/conditioner every other day, dry my hair lightly, and brush. I use a oval shaped brush with bristles. If you push where the bristles are, it is easily pushed into the brush. I tried using a comb but that made my problem worse. Sometimes I add water and that keeps it down for maybe an half hour. I read cold water makes it better when you rinse your hair, can I still have a warm shower the rest of the time? I also read putting lotion in the ends of your hair can help too. I really NEED this problem solved. I can't stand it! Please help me!

Well, usually when my friends cry in front of me and stuff, I try comforting them. Don't sit there unless your friend is the "touchy feel" kind of person.
